There are some people who feel that to quit smoking is to quit their basic needs, that they will die in a snap without it. While some courageous people have been trying to escape from their cigarette addiction, some are continuously being eaten bit by bit by every piece of nicotine that gets through their brain. As they inhale every gust of smoke that comes out from every stick of cigar they puff.
Some scientists have undertaken some studies and observations throughout the years and found out that nicotine is one of the world’s greatest killer drug. In fact, the most addictive drug of all. There are many reasons why people find it difficult to quit smoking, despite knowing the horrible effects it can cause. One of the common reasons why people are addicted to smoking is to control stress. When they feel stressed and troubled, they think smoking can give them fast relief.
Another reason why people unfortunately love smoking is because they want to lose weight. It is a fact that smoking can cause you to lose your appetite for food. Some people actually like this effect as it apparently help them to lose weight and not crave food anymore.
Other reasons why people got into the smoking addiction are because of peer pressure, curiosity, and rebellion. While others didn’t like it and felt dizzy or even experienced nausea the first time they tried it, others have tried it again and actually liked the feeling. Time passed by and what they now know today is that they can’t live without a cigarette to puff and getting out of the addiction seems to be the hardest thing to do.
If there are many reasons why people smoke, then there are many reasons too, why people should quit smoking. If you still love yourself, then think about quitting as the best gift to give to yourself. Your family and love ones too, are enough reasons to quit smoking. It’s never too late to change and as long as you’re alive. There is still time to change. It is not an easy goal, but it is not impossible.
